I was just wondering how many members we have in Alabama, particularly in the mid-state area? I live in Chelsea, AL and would be interested in meeting some of the members sometime!
No1likim, I live about 16 miles from 29 Dreams.
Moved to Montgomery not that long ago. We (wife/son) moved down from michigan.
Just moved to Birmingham from Detroit. My wife has been here for about a year and half, finally got tired of paying two rents. Hope to get a longer riding season than I had in the D.
Here from just outside of detroit. Moved down last june. Live in montgomery now, but it still doesn't feel like michigan did.
Hey Alabama! Hoping you don't mind if I high jack the thread for a minute.
I've asked around on a couple other forums I'm a part of but wanted to ask here to get some HD opinions...
We (Me, Wife & 3 yo) are looking to relocate the the Sylacauga, Coosa County area to live near some family friends that we are close to and just leave the hustle & bustle of the larger city behind. Maybe even get a few chickens and a goat or two...
We have been out to visit several times and like the area.
Curious what opinions are of the area and AL in general.
The little I have looked into work out there way, there seems to be a lot of truck driving positions and some nursing jobs mostly. I work in Telecom and also wondering what your opinions on work prospects would be. I was thinking there has to be some city or county jobs that are similar in scope or maybe even the power company. A commute to Birmingham is not out of the question and something will most likely need to happen.
Thanks in advance!

I see you're in HSV, Warrior Redleg! I assume you're on the Arsenal or retired Army (FA) or both... My old man rides with CVMA 28-2 when he's in town. Thanks for the welcome!

Work a lot on the Arsenal. Former Army FA, just did 10 years, didn't retire though. Moved here to HSV a couple years ago. Loving the area so far. When I was in an MC I rode with many of the CVMA guys in Texas. Damn good group of folks. Only thing keeping me from going back that route is my kiddos keep a lot of my free time occupied.
