I'll try that next. We're going back the 27th of this month. I thought it will be cold ride the beach so we went down to the coast this past weekend to be honest I was a little let down. You look over see the beach and the ocean go 20 miles look over same beach same Ocean. We stayed in Maggie Valley last trip this time we are going to stay in Wears Valley. We went through there on the way home last trip it looked really nice, plus it's a shorter drive for us.
I lived on the coast before and I still prefer the mountains. Other than my trips to Daytona and Key West LOL Not sure of any dates yet, but I will post here. Good chance of a ride this Saturday after our American Legion Riders meeting.
oh ya, one other thing. If you like a good long day ride? The last ride of the year is on Dec 30th to Stockton AL. Stage coach café. I leave around 5 AM and get home between 4 and 5. Just depends who all is riding. Any of you guys are welcome to join.
Just moved to Alabama, Oneonta area NE of Birmingham, from Oklahoma City. Still learning my way around, but it's a lot more fun to ride here, than the plains, and deserts of West OK. Wife rides also, we can usually be found somewhere within a 500 mile radius on a weekend, or even some weekdays when I can get away. Also do a little horse riding, photography, and fishing.
She rides a 2012 1200c set up for light touring with hard bags and fairing, I generally ride my 2015 Indian vintage, but also have a 16 Street Bob for short hops. Just sold a slammed and custom 01 Softail before the move. Miss that bike, but my back doesn't! We ride with the Birmingham chapter, Combat Vets Motorcycle Association.

Just moved to Birmingham from Detroit. My wife has been here for about a year and half, finally got tired of paying two rents. Hope to get a longer riding season than I had in the D.

Welcome to Alabama! You will most definitely have a longer riding season here.
