Default SAVE THE BOOBIES!!! Bikers for ***** 2009

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!! We are now in the process of preparing
for our 4th annual event which will be held July 25-26, 2009. On
Saturday we will be a part of Harley~Davidson of Atlanta’s all day
Bikes & Beauties event. On Sunday, the poker run will again start out
at Harley~Davidson of Atlanta in Lithia Springs. This year we are
moving the end of the ride to a much bigger location at the VFW Post
7404 on Bankhead Highway in Carrollton. GRIP has committed to provide
our music that afternoon and we are looking forward to a rockin’ good
time with Chip and the guys! There are two ways to register – on-line
(a new system – no need to fax in your registration form this year!)
or by mail (printable flyer available on the website). Checks should
be made payable to “Bikers Battling Breast Cancer, Inc.” or “Bikers
For *****” and mailed to BFB, P.O. Box 662, Temple, GA 30179. Please
check out our newly revamped website (www.bikersforboobs.org or
www.bikersbattlingbreastcancer.org) and send me your comments. We are
always looking for ways to improve and you are our sounding board.

Please also mark your calendar and plan to join us on Sunday, June 14, for

BOOBAPALOOZA ~ Celebrating Women and Those Who Love Them

at Tom’s Place in Cartersville. There will be something for both the
girls (Ladies Only Bike Show) and the boys (Leather-n-Lace Fashion
Show) this year. We will have vendors, demonstrations, mini-seminars
and MORE and we will be introducing our Ms. 1-in-8, Beth Barrett and
our 2009 Biker Beth painting. Don’t miss it!!

We hope we can count on you to support Bikes For ***** this year. We
are also looking for sponsors, vendors and donations of merchandise
for our silent and live auctions. Information can be found on our
website. Promotional items are also welcome for the goody bags which
will be given to the first 500 registrants. Our deadlines are as
follows: sponsors -- May 29; goody bag donations – June 15; vendors
-- June 15.

Thank you for reading this and for your support. Please spread the
word. Yes, the economy is bad and people are hurting. But women are
still being diagnosed with breast cancer and WE WILL NOT QUIT. With
your help, we are all making a difference in this battle. A large
part of our success is thanks to you for believing in us the past
three years. We look forward to an amazing event in 2009 and hope we
can count on you to Come Along For The Ride!

Peace, Love and A Cure,

Lisa

Hi Everybody!! I hope this email finds you happy and surviving! We are busy with details of both our Boobapalooza (June 14) and Bikers For ***** (July 25-26) events. I wanted to let you know about a few things for both:

Boobapalooza ~ Celebrating Women and Those Who Love Them: Be sure to join us at Tom’s Place on June 14 for this event for an opportunity for some “Education and Observation.” The Education portion of the day will include demonstrations on how to pick up a bike and a chance for you to try (without the stress), how to remove a full-face helmet after an accident (both of which we hope you never have to do but nonetheless we all need to know), a presentation on how to be fitted for the correct bra (come on guys, you know you will like this too) and an education session about the wonderful work that LiviRae Lingerie does with their clients who are breast cancer survivors (which is what this whole day is REALLY all about). We are also looking for candidates for our "Survivor Makeover." Details to follow. If you know of a breast cancer survivor who is deserving of this makeover, please send us an email to admin@bikersforboobs.org.

The Observation portion of the day will, of course, include the Ladies Bike Show (classes on the website) and our 3rd Annual Leather & Lace Fashion Show presented by LiviRae Lingerie. You will also meet our “Ms. 1-in-8” for 2009 and see the unveiling of the painting of our 2009 addition of our Biker Babe Brigade, Biker Beth,” and our one-of-a-kind helmet, the Pink Planet, both of which have been designed and donated to BBBC from artist, tia lynn. You don’t want to miss any of this fun!!

Bikers For *****: Remember that on-line registration is open. Recently we have added a lot of information regarding our weekend extravaganza to the website, including the unveiling of our stops for this year. We are excited to announce our new relationship and the addition of the American Legion in Douglasville and the VFW in Carrollton. We are proud of our armed forces, past and present, and hope to cultivate these friendships as we strive to make a difference together for our breast cancer community.

We are also very excited to announce a new program we hope you will help us with that we are calling our Tie One On” campaign. We have always been about raising awareness and this year we are taking it up a notch. This need was brought to my attention by my good friend James Boucher of Locust Grove. You can find out all about it on the website but be prepared to bring your "battle bra" to the event on July 26. We are honored to help the Breast Cancer Survivors Network through this
project.

Last, but not least, we are looking for your help with getting the word out to the media about what we are doing at BBBC. I have
attached a press release which I would appreciate you forwarding to any media contacts that you might have or anyone who can help spread the good news! Also, we still have opportunities for vendors at both events and are in need of silent auction, live auction and goody bag items. Please feel free to email us if you can help in these areas.

Thanks for reading this! Look for many more BBBC Bulletins in the future! Don’t hesitate to contact me if I can help you in any way. That’s what this is all about.

Peace, Love and A Cure!!

Lisa
