I just heard today that the bar right beside the Greensboro Harley Shop has been bought out by true bikers/riders and that it is going to be a kick azz biker bar! Word is that they will have free food and like $1.50 beers this Saturday and Sunday!!!! The new name is suppose to be something like the Steel Horse Saloon.
I confirmed this today! They are open and have Beer starting at $1.25 and are running ALL the top brands at no more than a $1.75 and are serving free BBQ chicken as long as it last all day on this Saturday (10/31) and will have football and NASCAR on the big screens on Sunday with the same beer specials! I know I'm going check them out.
Well it's true and a pretty freckin good deal too! I went by today and they were really cool and not only did they for real have $1.25 beer specials but it wasn't PBR or some other lesser brand but was Miller Lite! They had a good crowd and from what I saw and heard they will have an even better crowd tomorrow for the free food and beer. They said the grounds is licensed for up to 5,000 people.
The way Big Pig's talkin' the place up, you'd think he might be part owner or they're paying him in free beer for plugs.
LOL. I wish! But I must admit for full disclosure that I did drink some of their $1.25 beers and eat their chicken. It was cool and they had a good crowd even with the rain that came out of nowhere.
