The wife and I will be leaving the Shreveport / Bossier area on the 14th headed to Hot Springs. I have not decided on a time yet but was tninking on trying to form a group headed up that way and / or pick up a few passing through on the way there. There is a really great BBQ place in Lewisville we could stop for lunch about 90 minuites North. This is going to be an open rally this year. I went to the HOG rally there last year and would estimate around 15,000 bikes and less then a dozen vendors. It shoud be even better this year with a lot more vendors present. Anyone interested drop a line.
when you get here give me a shout , this is where I live, it should be huge this year and only getting bigger , can show you the local haunts and some great riding. PM me before you leave.
Hey Thanks FatBoy. I"ll do that, I have alredy reserved a cabin, my brother, his wife, her brother and wife are coming also. I am so excited I can hardly wait! We went last year and had a really great time. We have already pre-registered and plan on attending the early bird party. The entertainment is going to be GREAT.
Less then a week, I can hardly wait. [sm=groupwave.gif]Let's see, this weekend.
1.clean up bike
2.adjust throttle boss
3.check nuts and bolts
4. check lubes
5. check air pressure
6. belt, etc. etc. [sm=confused06.gif]
I am planning on leaving from Taco Bell on I-220 and Airline Drive in Bossier City, LA around 11:00am and should hit Lewisville, AR around 12:30 - 1:00pm for some killer BBQ. Should be in Hot Springs around 3:30 - 4:00pm. Check into cabin, and unload bike. Anyone coming thru Bossier and would like to meet up the wife and I will be on a well packed red Dyna.
I guess in all my excitement I got all the times in. But, I forgot to include the date! [sm=bangbang.gif] I will be at the TAco Bell on Airline and I-220 on 9/14/06 around 10:30am.
Heading out of the Longview, TX Friday morning on route to rally.....YIPPEE!!!!! A friend of mine cancelled his room at the Arlington and I jumped on it....can't wait!!
YOU DOG! [sm=icon_cheers.gif] You're gonna be right smak dab in the middle of it. Right next door to the convention center. I'm renting a cabin on Lake Hamilton with my brother and his brother in law. Well I'll be closer to the Harley shop anyway. Too bad you can't leave until Friday, I just got an email from the local HOG group and it looks like they are going to stage out of Brookshires at noon on Thursday. I am still plannin on leaving Taco Bell maybe a little later like around 11:30 and hook up with that bunch. Gives me time to eat a light lunch, knowing these guys I'm sure another eatin spot is planned between here and Hot Springs. If this is anything like last year, the locals were great! Bikers owned Hot Springs for the weekend. Ride safe and hope to see ya there.
make sure you go by LongShot Saloon across from the horse track , you cant miss it , there will be hundreds of Bikes parked out front, I will be there a lot ,most everyone that works there knows me , stop in and have a cold one with me. another good place to go is Terry Martins, they will have vendors and a bike show, thinking of putting my bike in that show so I should be their on saturday, If you get here on thursday , I will be at the summit arena for the pre party. weather should be outstanding until late sunday then it may rain, Ameristo I have a home on Lake Hamilton, where are you staying .Cjmilez , brother you are right in the thick of it , better bring ear plugs to get some good sleep ( or not ) you are in a great spot , can walk to a lot of the venues if need to, maybe we can all get together and have some fun! PM me for a cell # if you want . Should be great !!!
a buddy and myself are leaving Alabama wednesday and planning to get to Hot Springs in 8 hours. we are staying with a friend who owns a house on lake hamilton. cant wait!! cant sleep either as you can see. hope to see a few of you folks there.if someone comes up with a meeting place sometime friday or saterday let us know here and try to meet you for a cold one.
