I am taking my bagger in for some performance work to a local shop later this week and the shop boasts about having a nationally recognized, award winning custom bike builder from Phoenix named RJ Naylor.
Has anyone heard of this guy? He was supposed to have his own shop for 18 years down there. I did a google search on RJ Naylor but nothing pulles up.
I haven't heared anything about that guy but depends on what your looking for and how much $$$$$ your looking to spend there is actually someone up North that is well known and has his own performance shop , I've spoke with him a few times just waiting to gather a few more $$ to send my 06 SG heads up for porting and polishing, look him up if your not already committed to this other guy , a second look never hurts GMR perhttp://www.gmrperformance.com/GMR_Performance_Map.htmformance in Prescott Valley . Good luck
I second Steve at GMR up in Prescott, AZ. Worked on my friends 02 Lowrider, 95" kit that pumps out the 100/100 mark. That 98" kit he sells looks pretty good too, a few people on this site have purchased it and have good results.
Yes I have heard of him before.. He owned a shop in phx called Maximum performance... I know I have see one bikes of his in HotBike some time back but has been a couple of years.... I called one of my buddies who is into the Phx bike scene more than I and he said he has met him a few times and knows people who have had work done at his shop... Nobody had any negative things to say about him ... I think he is known for his engine building more than being a bike builder..he has won some Dyno shootouts around here and was big intodrag racing also... He did have his own machine shop and did alot of work for the local HD dealers my friend said.... hope that helps!!!
The guy seems ok and competent enough to let him work on my bike.
I do know the guy can do a burnout though, huh RJ?
Go see the video called "My bagger doing a burnout" in the video section and you will see this madman tearing up my back tire.
