ive been looking and the map/google earth/mapquest etc.
going to ave k , precision grinding , staying at the marriot
what doyou mean expensive. living cost , housing etc
i live in portsmouth va . used to rivers, beaches mountains to the west housing
about 150-200k for reasonable school district houses, any land for sale
say 45minutes from bell ?
You will miss the rivers, beaches, mountains. You get to trade those for hail storms, tornadoes, and 100+ temperatures. In close to the DFW area, it may be hard to find land fora reasonable price. If you look around, you can find homes with 1-5 acres. Housing costs in the area are fairly reasonable compared to other parts of the country, but property taxes, insurance, and utilities are higher. Depending on where you are, you might try south of DFW area, around Burleson, Joshua, Ennis or Waxahachie. If you are more to the west or northwest part, look around Haslet, Rhome, Justin, or Aledo.
dont let him scare you there is plenty of land going south out of GrandPrarie
red oak, ennis , middeloathian, Waxahatchie if you look hard enough you could find some Grandprarie land , too bad you are moving now not a couple years back I would of almost gave my house away in Arlington when we moved out 1950 SQ foot for 112K w/ storage barn in town
2 car garage ..... now with the cowboy stadium moving to Arlington prices have rose but not a whole lot . we might be having an in-laws house comming up for sale soon in GP
Don't mean to scare anyone; DFW area is really a great place to live. Our weather just tends to scare some folks who aren't used to midwest severe thunderstorms or the summertime heat. If you look south and west of the metroplex, you should be able to find some decent prices. The closer you get to Dallas and Collin counties, the higher the prices seem to go. Be careful about living in Arlington however, they have sales taxes to help pay for Jerry Jones' football cathederal.
My college room mate is a VP at Bell. How did the interview go? The area is great and you can't beat the weather. Well maybe in the summer is does tend to get a bit hot. Good Luck.
