That particular streatch of AZ is known as the Great American Outback. If'n ya like desert vistas it is okay but otherwise not very noteable.

Well it's kinda close to your home base but the ride up from the 10 to Idylwild is nice. it's about 20 miles off the 10 but it's all fun winding road.

Let us know what time you are going to be there... as I said, my son has an "all day" sporting event, but his last one we were out of by 1:00, so could still possibly make it to meet you guys.

Your ride may be more enjoyable if you drop South towards San Diego and pick up I-8 which will dump into I-10 at Casa Grande, AZ then a short ride North to Phoenix. In Yuma stop off and visit the original territorial prison - very interesting! Just a thought.
