There is a nice campground in Bluff, Ut. called Sand Island. It's right on the San Juan River and will be about 30 miles from the 4 Corners Monument. All of Az. in the area of the 4 Corners is Navajo Indian Reservation and has no public camping that I am aware of.

The campground in Bluff is definately close enough to work for you, and then any direction from there will put you at a campground within 100 or so miles. Colorado and New Mexico both have plenty.

When you go south around Flagstaff there will be some. There are also some in the Page, Az. area around Lake Powell.

Thanks again. We are planning the following day to ride to the grand canyon and end the days ride in chino valley just east of Flagstaff. We are also wondering about the heat. Thinking 100 would be the max that we would want. Any ideas on that? Have family in Phoenix and don't want to enter the traffic nor the heat.

If 100 is your limit, I suggest you stay out of Phoenix in July. It will probably be in the high 80's or low 90's in Prescott. 4 corners will be in the 80's or 90's that time of year also.
