Yeah dont really know what the story is there in AZ. Seems like multiple organizers all trying to get in on the AZBW bandwagon. You have the Cave Creek Rally going on too up at the Hideaway and Tap Haus. I know they used to be included within the pre-rally listings on the AZBW page but are not this year. I'm thinking that the AZBW/Cyclefest organizers are looking for too much in the area of sponsorship listing? Maybe they are concerned about the growth of biker events and activities in other areas taking away from the attendance at Cyclefest? I don't know

As I understand it, the Scottsdale HD didn't want the other area dealers playing in their territory so the were excluded from the AZ Bike Week in Scottsdale. The other local dealers started the Phoenix Bike Fest held at one of the nicer casinos. Cave Creek is more of a ride to-drink eat-party destination.
PhxBiker is correct. The new owner of Scottsdale HD complained to the MOCO about the other HD Dealerships being in there area. MOCO told the others that they couldn't go in there territory, so they got together and started Bike Fest at Wildhorse Pass & Casino (by Firebird Race Way off I-10.

Makes sense. I too read this recently in a blog. But hey that Phoenix Bikefest that is being put on at the Wildhorse Casino looks like a demo delight. They have all the manufacturers there. Westworld has three. All in all it just goes to show you AZBW is a growing event.
Instead of competing, I wish they were 2 different weekends so I could take in both. The original in N Scottsdale and the new one in Chandler at the Wild Horse are at opposite ends of town. Agreed some nice demo selections in Chandler plus the ride through bar. But some nice roads to demo in N Scottsdale and why ride anything but a Harley I must have road 6 or 7 HD models last year.
