Default One wheel trailer

I'm more and more interested in getting one of these. I saw a few this summer and I though they looked awesome

These ones are made by a company close to my hometown (http://www.armoricdesign.com/angl/index_angl.html).

Has anyone ever own a one wheel trailer?
How much did it effect the ride?

Thanks!

A guy on the Kawasaki Vulcan forums pulled one all over Canada and the US Eastern states for over seven years. He and others always raved on how easy they pulled, and how much they can pack in it.
If you can find one for a good price,go for it.

There's a thread over in the Touring section IIRC about trailers. I agree that type look fine, the reservation about them being the weight of luggage in them falls onto the rear wheel, whereas the two-wheeled variety have their wheels at the c of g of the trailer and luggage.

They are however quite popular here in Europe! I suspect they have a limited payload, but can still carry more than it is easy to get on the bike.

You can probably chain it to a tree and lock it up, that way you can take daytrips without pulling all your gear around. Looks clever, not sure about how much tongue weight it can handle.

There's a dedicated section of HDF on trailers, hacks etc that may be worth taking a look in.

That particular one I posted weighs 55 lbs and can hold 100 lbs. At 155, and I assume that would be split between the bike's rear tire and the trailer, it's probably not too bad. I really like the way it leans with the bike when cornering.

I though about posting in another forum for this thread but I was really hoping to get the experience of a sporty owner who used this type of trailer.
