i can see the chrome speedometer bracket kit for sale on harleys site for $94 bucks or something like that. Isnt something missing? It seems like theres a ring missing that goes on the front to polish the whole thing off. Do you have to buy that seperately? Christ i bet you do. Anyways, does that kit just slip over the existing speedo? oh yeah, when does this **** ever end? I cant stop buying thingsfor this bike.
I looked at the chrome speedo bracket about 3 years ago for my Sporty. I can't remember the details now, but I know I finally decided it was more trouble than I was interested in. You better check this out carefully before buying. See if you can get your friendly HD parts man to print you out a copy of the installation instructions.
Either of these willcome with all that you need and cheaper than your dealer... http://www.discountcycleparts.com/xcart/customer/search.php?part_number=39-0212orhttp://stores.channeladvisor.com/deb.../?sck=18627390. From the looks of your current bike you already have the black bracket so essentially your just swapping and already have the rubber gaskets and correct indicator lights. I have an 06 1200C that had thetall publback riser with integreted speed mount and swapped it and my risers and used the chrome XL/Dyna style bracket only I had to convert my light sockets over to the older style. This is a simple 20 minute swap and all for less than $30.
