My new AGM Harley battery failed on me 2 days ago. Less than six months old. Dropped the battery of at the dealer, charged and tested bad. Gave me a new one, no questions asked. Gainesville, FL Harley has always been good to me.

As far as I know I don't need to tend this:

I have an almost 7lb (3kg) saving with this swap.

I have a Shorai lithium battery in my Glide, but these things aren't proven yet IMHO and I have their tender for mine. Admittedly it doesn't take very long (sometimes just minutes) to reach full charge. The jury is still out on lithium batteries!

Good to know. I've e-mailed the manufacturer to make sure, I see they have the Optimate for sale (which I own).

There is quite a thread on xlforum about the lithium batteries. I went to ride today and my battery finally bit the dust it so I had to drive.

The space savings of the LFX-18LI-BS12 temps me a lot. I have quite a few things (LED turn modules and etc) that I would rather have in the box instead of under the seat and where they are.

I think I may give it a shot and see what happens - anything is better then a dead battery.

Your okay. 12 mos. warranty on the original battery and 6 mos. on the replacement.

In 2010 and back it was 24 mos and 12 mos. My 2010 Superglide went bad with a swelled cell at 18 mos. I took the battery in they tested and replaced it.

Pay to tow the bike in? Learn in the future. HD warranty does not cover towing the bike in.
