Speed Sensor
i recently bought a 1200c for my girlfriend to learn to ride. everything worked and was fine except it shifted odd. i remove the transmission and found a burr on a shifting fork. that fixed that. but now the speedo doesnt work. it lights up, shows milage and tripometer, but doesnt register speed. which sounds like a speed sensor. all code show clr. my question, is there something else to check? why would a speed sensor go out just removing tranmission? thanks

The speed sensor reads off of the 5th gear. You didn't bungle it up or bash it while working on the tranny?
Also, it's probably just the speedo connector. Under the bike. Mine has gone wonky a few times for no reason at all.

i did have a jack under it to rotate the tire while on the lift. so ill check the connector under there. also i didnt know about the blinkers not canceling. i'll check that also, thanks
