From reading different forums and posts ive heard that the problem could be in the cable housing, this area from the sounds of things often goes unchecked by dealers.
Just another thought. Running the tank dry on reserve can drag sh-t into the carb from the bottom of the tank and plug a jet. Had it happen a few times. Usually on older bikes though.
Well they called me back and the problem is that the inside of the fuel tank the lining is being peeled off which is clogging my lines and the carb the reason for it to stall. He says hes pulling ALOT of it off because someone sprayed **** into my tank of some sort. Probably my bike got vandilized during the middle of the night. Least I got the ignition module and stator free of charge lol
NOPE THEY SAY ITS NOT THEIR PROBLEM I HAVE TO PAY $182.00 BECAUSE THEY SAY "WE CLEANED THE TANK OUT". I SAID WHAT IF IT STALLS AGAIN..........NOT OUR PROBLEM. I GOT THE TANK OFF EBAY THOUGH SO ITS NOT THE DEALERSHIPS FAULT IF U THINK ABOUT IT OR AM I WRONG? BESIDES THEY SHOULDA CHECKED MORE INTO THE TANK THE FIRST TIME THEY CHECKED IT OUT BEFORE THE CHANGED THE IGNITION MODULE AND THE STATOR.. So im gonna bitch to the owner and the manager friday when i pick it up. If they give me BS im cutting a bad check to them and ill post a stop pay on it and go elsewhere.

I guess the $182 is pure labor? Kind of hard to argue a case when you got the tank on ebay. Just look at it this way. You've found the source of the problem and got 2 parts for $182. Don't do anything too drastic though. You don't want to burn that bridge, no matter how weak it is.
Has to be labor.. Idk how they got all that crap out of the tank.. And it might be some crap in there left that might cause the cycle to stall again anytime. Afraid to even ride it now. He saved the lining from the inside of the tank and put it in a ziplock bag to show me how much was in there. And another thing im gonna gripe about is that they were rude to me when they called me to say what the problem was. This is my very very last trip to that dealership I'll never step foot on that property again.
