To answer your question - take your seat to an upholstery shop have it stripped and repadded, maybe add a gel panel and slight extra foam at rear for back support.
As far as me I would get a stock RoadKing or Softail Heritage seat and make sure it came with a RoadKing or Heritage under it.
I have this seat for sale for $75. I have no way of knowing if it will fit your bike as I can't find a part number on it. It won't fit my 07 because of the ECU location. It has a HD emblem and a number that matches one of the numbers on a Sundowner two up seat I bought for some reason but that number does not come up at Harley. If I search the internet for the number it comes up on ebay with several different seat designs so not sure what it's for.
Anyways, if you happen to be riding through Tallahassee let me know and you can test fit it.

Thanks for the offer, won't be in Tallahassee anytime soon. Looks soft but to fit a '90, not sure. ??
Hey guy's, I took a 70 mile ride today and my butt is killing me.
We stopped for about 15 min.
Started about the 30 mile mark and been home 4 hours and it still,,,,.
I have heard about the Mustang Seat and they are supposed to be good for long trips etc.
I still want the look I have but not at the expense of what I went through today.
Any recommendations or thoughts of this seat or a different one for my bike pictured below?
Looking at your Mustang seat, it reminds me of a soft pillow - no support. I've had two Corbin seats, one on a 2010 Suzuki s40 Boulevard, and a Genuine Hollywood Solo Stingray Leather seat on my daily ride, a 2009 Sportster XL883. Corbin seats require a 1000 mile or so break-in to form to your body shape. Once they're broken in, you'll never want another seat. The only downside is the company can be difficult to work with if you have a problem... As always, YMMV.

It has a straight tab w/two allen bolts on the pan and at the other end one hole to mount to the fender.
Recently painted the tins etc gloss black.
Thanks,
Jim
Don''t think the one I have will work. It has a tab at the front, an oblong hole to hook onto a raised head bolt, then the hole at the rear for the single screw to hold it in place.

No it won't work. I have the bar going across that slips under the frame mounting lip.

Thank you. Yes after about 20 miles, I can hardly stand it. Have to stand up at red lights sometimes.
