2 weeks ago I purchased my very first motorcycle a 2008 xl1200l. It has about 5300 miles on it I have only put about 100 on myself so far..All seemed fine with it up until yesterday when I started it up it started to act like it was going to stall and almost die out..it did this for about 1 minute then ran normally..I've checked it a few times sense and each time I have had the same problem start up run fine for a few seconds then start to stutter and almost die for a minute or so then run normally..anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong or where to start?
Also I have a video of what it is doing I'll post as soon as I figure out how lol

This is probably not good advice. I had this type of issues. I seafoamed my engine then ran injector cleaner ever other tank. Problem went away. There are times when it seems like it will shut off just after starting but it just sputters back up to the warm up cycle. We'll see what the old heads say.
That was my very first thought also..first thing I did tonight was put some Lucas injector cleaner in there..I'll see how it worked in the morning when i start her up I suppose
rough start could be idle control. idle control has some suspects. if it were my bike i would start with reading the sevice manual, think it has trouble shooting. likely one suspect could be maf sensor but i havent looked into this type of issue for a harley yet.
could be a whole other ball game and be fuel too. tough to say but its always best to start with trouble shooting stuff that is just clean and inspect.

Well sorry that took so long my phone was extremely slow..anyways here is the video it starts stuttering right around the 1:05 mark and lasts for about 45 seconds..I fired her up again today and it seemed a bit better but still not right. After a minute or so she ran perfect again.
