The sun felt great, then I got home and relaxed then figured out I burnt the crap outta my face, head and arms. That was yesterday, about 5 hours of riding.
Today, I got some stuff on that is supposed to be nuclear grade.
9 hours last weekend in the first pretty hot day this year in Miami, did South Beach, Coconut Grove, South Miami HD anivarsary, across 41 (swamp for an hour and a half) to Marco Island, up to Naples, across 75 back to Ft Lauderdale and then home, spent a while in each town cruising. When I got home I realized thet this was not the best day to wear a half helmet and a short sleeve shirt, arms and face burnt pretty bad, skin peeling and cant shave. Good ride though. Use sunblock.
Guess I'm one of the lucky ones, as I don't 'burn', I just tan..
But I'm out in the sun all the time, either wearing just a sleeveless T-shirt (or no shirt at all), so maybe my skin has gotten use to it after all these years..
Good advice...Especially for those of us down here in FL. Doesn't matter if ya don't burn, the Florida summersun will find a way to burn you up. Never used to burn until I moved to FL. Man the sun down here is HOT!
