Default Might have to sell the 48

Just wondering what you guys think I can get out of my 2013 48? Has 4,800 on the clock and u can see the mods in my signature. I know I won't nearly what I paid into it out of it. But with the oil prices down things are getting pretty scary here at work.

I dont know if it will help at all, but my son is going to put his up for sale soon, he is going to ask $8900 and its an 11' box stock with 1200 miles. I love Sportys but the resale is a bit of a bummer. Good luck though!

Depends how fast you want to sell. If you have the stock tank I would put it back on. Same for the fender.
The bike has low miles so it should bring around 8k if you take your time and advertise it well.
Luck is a big factor in selling vehicles. Right time and right place and right buyer sometimes all come together and pay more than you hoped for.

Search craigs in your area and look at the prices and how long they have been there.(private sellers). Start your ad with a price somewhat competitive to theirs.

I just paid $6200 for an 11 1200C with 3900 miles and about $600 in accessories. The bike i bought had been for sale for three weeks on CL at $6500 and no takers..

Your 13 Should bring $8000 min. But you have to find people looking for a Sportster. In the Harley world most want the big twins.

I sold my Big Twins easily and looked for a Sporty. I cast a 300 mile net to find mine.

13s were neary $10K at dealers. 14s were a tad over $10K. I could not wrap my head around a $10K Sportster. I wanted to stay under $7000.

Personally I like the Nightster tank on it. Not a big fan of the smaller tanks because of the capacity. Now if you still have the original tank still available, make a note of that in your ads. That would add interest. Some folks would prefer the front fender also, so consider that as well. I know for sure that my son would really like your setup. Hopefully you wont have to sell because of the oil situation.

I'm glad I'm not reselling mine. Mine is a 2015 Iron 883 and I'm putting 1,000 miles on it every month. Past 4,000 last week and it's only mid April.

I'm not sure how people can only put on a hundred miles a month as some seem to do. Just me, but I don't understand the reason for purchasing a motorcycle to have it sit in the garage.

Just to give you an idea, this 2013 48 has been on CL for 9000 sometime already and its not selling. He had another ad about a month ago also with the same asking price.

I have a 2013 Superlow I bought in November 2013 that currently has only 1600 miles on it . How do I justify it you ask. I drive over a thousand miles a week for work and it sure is nice when I do not have to get in that car to go somewhere.
