Default What is it?
I have a 2010 Sportster C 1200. After a little ride this wkd, I noticed after bein parked for a while, a pipe or wire, attached to like a sticky one side tape?? Was just layin on the ground,Directly underneth the bike. I tucked it bk up and continued. My question is, What is it, what does it do and were does it belong??? ... Help !!

A photo would be helpful. If it is a tube then it might be a vent line for the gas tank.

the vent tube is just the tube ending, its not that...it has a 4-6 inch like black sticky one side, tape?? can t put up a pic... I have an old flip phone, and am relativley computer spaz..lol

Some kind of sensor? Any ideas? She spent the winter in my living room , and when I took it out, I didn t have the plank just right, kinda bottomed out a little??

Your description is vague. Is it a rubber hose? It is a wire?

Without a pic, you'll have to be a lot more accurate in your description!

If you have the upgraded security system with the siren, it could be the antenna. The antenna is routed along the lower frame held on at times with a strip of tape. The antenna wire should be black in color and the tape should be black also.

Ok, that sounds bout right... its a sticky one sided, on the end of wire, or tube... Soft wire??.. makes sense now... thankyou for your time guys...lol

Pay close attention to the instructions when installing the wire again. A certain part of the wire can't touch metal.
