Default Burly cable problem!!!!!

I am having a problem with a set of cables I received with the 14" narrow bottom apes for my 2009 1200 Custom everything else was fine but, the throttle and idle cables don"t fit in the switch housing where the stock cables go. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?

My burly kit fit perfect on my 1998. I know they gotta "pop" in. Perhaps each one is a diffrent size. Try switching them around.

Yeah I tried the Iarecobra, put WD-40 on the end and nothing I don't wanna force it in and damage the switch housing or the throttle cable, the idle cable has about 1/8-1/4 in wiggle room.

If it were me I'd contact burly. Make sure you have the right kit. Or the right cables.
Mine popped in pretty easy.

Mine were a little finicky which is why I put the stockies back on since they had enough length for 14" bars

Mine worked fine on my 2014. Where are they not fitting? do you mean clicking into the housing? or the actual cables are too fat? I reused the brass keepers on mine. but everything buttoned up perfect.

Default cables

Try switching them around. Each one goes in a certain place. Maybe you got them backwards.

I spoke to the people at Burly and they told me to interchange them but, they can't due to the throttle fitting being bigger than the diameter hole in the switch housing where it goes so, I switched the wires at the carb and now it works the way it's supposed to but I can't get it adjusted to where the throttle doesn't stick.

Make sure your grips isn't pushed too far onto the bars. Move the entire housing about 1/8 of an inch to the right (when sitting on the bike) see if they snap back like that.

Thanks for the help with my cables everyone.. I had the cables the way they were when I disconnected them at the carb. so I figured that's the only way to install them but its good now. Thanks again for your help..
