Default Throttle Cable into Throttle Housing

I am replacing my cables with extended ones to fit my apes. I can't push the throttle cable into the housing. Do you guys have any tips?

The idle cable goes in easy. It's actually to small, so it doesn't seal. Is that a problem?

I'm using Motion Pros cables from HCC.

There are little c-clip springs at the ends of the cables that snap into place in the switch housing. They can be stubborn to the point of having to take them off to put the cable in then trying to re-install the clip. Firm persistance and patience is the key here. Also mine flop around a little, I used a couple cable clamps to help stabilize them.

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep at it.

Mine was a bitch also, to the point that I didn't think it was the right size. When I got it snapped in there, it moves around pretty easily like it should. Just keep at it and it'll pop in.

Just did mine as well. Try closing the gap of the ring around the ferrule with pliers prior to install, and also insert it into the housing at an angle instead of pushing it straight in.

I used cables from Magnum Sheilding and this worked for me.
