Does anyone know if the harbor fright jack fits under the 48? My father in law brought over his jack he uses for his road king and we could not get it to fin under the stock 48
I bought a Harbor Freight jack recently and could not fit it under my Iron. almost, but not quite. It was real close.
Solution? I got two J&P cycles yearly catalogs (2013 and 2014 I believe), about 1" thick each, and rolled the bike up on them, one under each tire. Gave me just enough clearance to fit the jack under. Be careful as the bike will lean over more on the kick stand when you do this.
That's the extent of my technical shade tree knowledge on how to make it work.
Use 2x12 boards under the wheels to get enough room for the jack. Also a 2x4 piece under the kickstand to help keep this bike balanced while rolling the jack under the frame. Easy fix for ypur problem and works great.
I bought the high lift jack for my 2013 Custom with 11" rear shocks. I have about 3 1/2-4" of clearance. The minimum height on the jack that I purchased is 2 1/2" so it should fit. I'll confirm as soon as I put it together.

Before I bought a ride on lift this^^^^^ is what I did also.
I bought the blue aluminum jack from harbor, the kick stand spring hits so you have to set it in place being sure to avoid the spring. Thinking about modding the jack by cutting out the center and re-welding it so that it clears easily.
I have the harbor freight 1500 lb lift and a 2010 Forty Eight.
Can confirm that this lift (if it's what you have) DOES fit underneath the scoot, but requires some careful coaxing. The rubber pad on the lift is the reason why you run out of clearance sliding underneath the low hanging 48 frame.
But it can be done if one person sits on the bike first with bike on kick stand, other guy push the lift underneath the higher side of the frame. Guy on bike start to stand the bike upright while lift guy pushes/slides the lift under the frame.
The rubber pad on the lift will be squished but no harm done to the bike.
Good luck!
