Spoke to them and they're being totally awesome about it. They are offering a newer lower mileage bike without any issues. I'm waiting on the pics now.
They were surprised that this bike had a salvage title and said they do not and will not sell any bike with a salvage title.
The guys over there are awesome so please understand that I am in no way blaming the dealer for this misunderstanding at all!
I say Bull. Just about all dealers and particularly the Harley dealer he refers too have access within their respective states to exact tittle records online. They always check for liens, Tittle owners, Tittle type etc.
I don't believe that the dealer wouldn't know it is a salvage title, if it is. He can't sell it without the title, and it would say salvage right on it.
He is either a liar or an idiot, or your website is wrong.
This is why I bought my bike from an HD dealer. More leverage if they sell you a deficient bike.
Hope you get your deposit back, or the VIN check is wrong and dealer is cool. Don't buy the bike without seeing the title first.
Let me reiterate. The guys at dream machines are totally stand up guys and have always stood behind their bikes. They were given misinformation from the place they purchased this bike from and in no way were they trying to dupe me or anyone by not mentioning this issue.
It doesn't take much to total a bike. People buy and sell salvaged bikes all the time. Never heard of vincheckpro.com before. A salvaged bike is typically a lot less than what blue book is going to show.
