Default 2015 superlow touring lowering?

Has anyone lowered their xl1200t? My friend is having trouble with getting her feet flat on the ground. I need to get her 1.5" or 2" lower. Looked at la Petra barebones seat which claims to lower seat height by1.5" but all the reviews on the seat aren't good. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the fit problems must be addressed by the riders attributes.
What I would do first is see if she can get flat footed without a seat on the bike (just a cloth or shop towel).
If it's close , measure the rear shocks with the bike raised up (suspension hanging) measure from the center of the rear shock bolts.
Here's what Progressive suspension shows.

I looked up a 1200L .
If the shocks are 11.5" you will have to look into maybe an 11" shock.
I assume you took out all the preload in the rear shocks.
If she's say 120lbs and you are 170lbs , see if you can get some "rider sag" with her on the bike.
If you can only get proper sag with you on the bike , the springs are too strong for her.
The standard progressive shocks are usually a bit softer than stock , so the 11" shocks might work well for her.
If she's "slightly" built , the Lepera seat might be OK.
Most really short shocks will ride pretty bad , but the short length is a trade off in shock travel.
If you have a really cool dealer , see if they will let you borrow a '48 seat for a ride around the block just for grins.
I run a stock '48 seat , and it only gets uncomfy after about 140 miles , most people think it was designed as a torture device.
Every butt is different.
Good luck with this and post your findings.

My GF had the same problem with her 883 Superlow. We shopped around and finally ended up with a Burley Slammer kit. Reasonably priced, about $235, easy to install and lowered the bike 2 inches front and rear. And the best part.......she loves it! She is more confident riding now that she can flatfoot the bike. However, she did have to sacrifice some suspension travel but she says it is totally worth having the better stability.
