My Sporty Bobber build
However I though hell, I will put some pictures up of my 2001 Sporty Bobber.
This is the starting point, a very nice second hand 2001 883 Sportster and nothing wrong with it at all.

But hell, I didn't keep it that way, so first thing was to upgrade to a 1200cc big bore kit and rejet the carb to suit.
Then on went springer forks, I built up a 16" front wheel with hub to match the rear and on went a set of Avon SM 5.00 tyres front and rear. I had the standard tank and shortened OE rear fender resprayed in gloss black and from there on I have changed or upgraded many parts until it has become this..... I hope you like it.

As for plans, well firstly I plan to continue to ride the crap out of the bike for as long as I can before the weather shuts things down.
Winter projects are deciding on whether to make it a rigid frame, it I do then that will need sourcing and welding along with the other parts associated with that i.e. oil tank, battery box, spring seat, rear fender. If I go this route then I will also put a chain conversion on the bike.
Other things will just be aesthetics, I am not happy with the look of the rotors and standard sporty brake caliper when thrown out front on the springer so I will look for a better looking caliper(s) to make it look sleeker. I will also look for better looking rotors too.
I am currently looking for a mini speedometer to replace the original. Even though I have built a mount for it down low, I really do not like how it sticks out in the wind and ruins the bikes lines, so that will be my next upgrade. I just need to find one that will fit (electronic speedo needed) and that I like the look of.
The rims I kept chrome, but I am still unsure whether I should be them powdercoated in gloss black, however that is not a big deal as I built the rims myself so can easily put disassemble them and put it all back together.
Other than that no plans at all
