Last Friday, my wife and I bought a new 2015 Sportster 1200 Custom.
I'm a long time rider, I've been riding on and off for 35 years, but this is my first Harley.
I've always wanted a Sportster!
I know some riders don't give the Sportster much love, but for the life of me I can't understand how anyone can look at one and not love it!
With all the crappy weather we've had in North Alabama the last few days, I've only ridden it for 10 miles since the dealer delivered it to my house.
Nice ride! I'm on first Harley too. Shame I waited this long to get one! Hope your weather improves, as a Brit I sure know the pain of having your riding cancelled due to rain!!
Congrats and enjoy, just picked up my 2014 like yours a few months ago after not riding in about 30 years and love the bike. Now it seems to rain every other day...
We're quite lucky here in Cambridge and The Fens. Mean annual rainfall is only 550mm over the last 30 years, and our climate is officially classified as "semi-arid".
Nice bike, but a bit too much chrome for my liking!

Welcome to Sportsters!
Long story short, my dad bought his first Sportster in his 70's. Occasionally he would let me ride it.
I couldn't take it any more.
I had to have one of my own.
I bought mine back in May. It has been an awesome bike.
