I got them from HD..They are the Harley adjustable highway pegs..They have 3 different positions.
They work with just about any pipes..I have Vance & Hines StraightShot HS Fullpipes .
They are a bit of money..But theywork and look great..I think they are about 225 but you can get them online from one of the harley shops or dealers on the web for about 175..
On the brakes...check the bulb too. You said it didn't change brightness when the brake was applied. Are you sure what you see isn't just the running lights staying on?
If its not the bulb, my money is on one of the brake light switches needing adjustment or replacement. Other mentioned the switches too but I'd check the bulb first to rule it out. It usually ends up being something simple in most cases.
