I have a 2015 sportster 48 and it only has 500 miles on it but my brakes have been squealing since I got the bike has anyone had this problem and resolved the issue? The dealer told me to put 1000 miles on it and then bring it to them to inspect it but it's just getting to frustrating riding with super loud brakes
My 2014 has nearly 5k on it and it's been doing the same thing since day one. I complained about it and they put some kind of grease between the piston and pad. Silenced the noise but wore off before I got home.
I know this issue has come up on these forms several times, hope someone's found a fix.
Have you just been dealing with the noise pirate? Has it gone away at all? I'm going to deal with it for another 500 miles and hope the dealer has a fix for me which hopefully isn't just some grease
This has been discussed a good bit. It seems new pads is the fix. I haven't gotten any yet. When it gets really bad I hit the brakes pretty hard once and it's good for a little bit. I'll get some new pads eventually but I really want other things before replacing pads that function and aren't worn but are noisy...... damnit HD....

The noise has gone down a little, but it still sounds like someone's beating a cat against a tree. Been keeping my eye on the Lyndal brakes as I hear they are the best and are silent.

Too bad those are for 04-13. Going over Lyndall's website, they don't have anything Sportster wise newer than 2013.
I was also told that the noise would go away after 1000 miles or so, 4000 after that and I'm given the all too familiar "that's just how they are" nonsense.
