Not had that problem...I sometimes have difficultly finding neutral, especially since I switched to Mobile1 V-twin oil in the tranny.
Forgive my ignorance, but why would the oil used in the tranny make a difference in finding neutral? I'm VERY new to riding and this is my first bike and a Harley to boot, so I want to learn everything I can. Thanks.
The Mobile1 V-twin oil is a synthetic oil. Since I put that in the transmission, the bike shifts a lot smoother. Still clunks like a good ole Harley should, but it takes a bit less effort on the shifter (and theclutch)to change gears. Therefore, finding that little "sweet spot" between 1st & 2nd takes a little more gentle nudgue.

I agree with ride2tires. It only happens to me when I take off fast and "miss" 2nd gear.It winds out and everyone knows ya screwed up. LOL

Thanks everyone, I was just curious if this was common. Maybe I'm being a little too easy on it while shifting. It does seem to usually do it when I'm getting on it, though it has happened while not getting on it, but those times I probaby wasn't giving it enough push. I just didn't ever have this happen last year and I thought I would just ask on here and get your opinion before I even thought about taking it to the stealer.
