Would like to add a triangle type bag on the left side of my Sportster and still have room for the passenger foot peg to work. No travel plans, would like to carry a extra Tee shirt and maybe some sun screen. Anything out there you guys recommend for that open area ?

We took the passenger pegs off my wifes bike when we first got it. But I just went out in the garage and it looks like the mounts for the peg hardware is exposed. Good quality bag. We got the additional steel mounting plate. Pricey but well made.
Lousy picture but we're right in the middle of a build. Better pictures to come when I present the finished product in the build thread.
* I just followed your link to the la rosa bag-That looks good. The red thread would really mach our sportster build, we're getting a custom seat done by mustang in the red thread. Pretty sure that bag could be adapted to the dead creek mounting plate......Another $150 for us?....we'll see

Reason: clicked on your link to eBay bag.
I recommend the Harley branded solo bag. They claim it doesn't work with passenger pegs, but I made mine work. I made extensions for the peg on that side and got longer socket cap screws. (Cost like $6 from local hardware store). The bag is a little pricey in my opinion(~$199), but it is very secure with the included bracket. Holds quite a bit too.
There are a few threads on here detailing the peg extensions for solo bag fitment.
I was looking at the same bag by the same maker except with blue stitching but I like the look of the Lick's bag as well as the bag and bracket on Dead Creek Cycles. Money will probably play into my decision more than I'd like.
+1 on Dead Creeks solo bag with hard mounts.
Thats my 48 in their pics.
What I did was leave the passenger peg on the right side, and it takes just a couple min
to remove the bag from the plate and replace the left side passenger peg for the few times my wife wants a ride.
I really like this bag, its one quality piece. I went one step further and inserted rivet-nuts in the plate which makes it even faster to remove.
I've looked at the picture of your bike many times. That's a nice looking bike.
I wish the bag and bracket was offered on Amazon. I've got a bunch of gift certificates I'd love to use to offset the cost but they'll have to go toward something else.
I like the idea of supporting a vendor who supports this forum because it's been a big help to me in understanding different things about my bike and in a world where I know few people with motorcycles it gives me the opportunity to have the conversations I'm not having in my own backyard with my purely caged friends.
