Default Help with front wheel fitting? Urgent please

I'm really stuck... I removed my wheels fro my 2012 iron to have white walls fitted and wheels powder coated. I had new bearings fitted also. Problem I've got is when I refit the front wheel the bolt heads from the cover on right side of wheel incase it had dual discs rub on the inside of forks? I have the spacers the correct way round ( larger spacer disc side). The bearings appear to be fitted correctly so just can't work out what is happening? Also when I put brake calliper back on it binds so something is defo out of alignment. I really stuck and bikes stuck on stand so can't even take it anywhere.
Please help??

Did you try the spacers on opposite sides?
If that doesn't do it I'd say the bearing isn't pressed all the way into the wheel hub.

I tried swooping spacers round and still not right, I thought maybe bearings not all the way in but think if they weren't then the spacers would push forks out do wouldn't rub?
I've just read that after axle torqued then insert drill bit into axle hole and pull fork to it touches drill bit then do up pinch bolt, maybe that's where I'm going wrong and by pulling fork out would give me the 1-2 MM. clearance I need?

Have you got the disc on the correct side of the wheel? I ask cuz I've seen it in here.

its not urgent. relax. what year is the bike?

edit: never mind... found it in your threads "2012 iron". cant find a dual disk conversion in there though.

you more than likely have the spacers on the wrong sides or maybe have #8 (below) still on the wheel. like i said i dont see your conversion in here. if #8 is still on the wheel, it will prevent the right side rotor from sitting in the slightly recessed groove and it & it's hardware will sit out further than it should.

Why don`t you tell us the exact procedure you are using to re install the wheel?

It's an iron so single disc, the cover #8 is on the wheel as standard and I have not removed/refitted it and it's the bolts for it #1 that are slightly rubbing on the inner forks. I have put wheel into place, slid axle bolt through with both spacers (larger one disc side as per diagram) then torqued up axle and when I spin the wheel the bolt heads #1 rub on forks, brake calliper is still off at this point but did try to refit and brakes were binding? Cheers for replies guys 👍🏻

Just found a post that might explain it. It says to pull fork out with a 7/8 drill bit in the axle hole till the fork just touches it then do up pinch bolt, I never pulled fork out just done up pinch bolt where it was? So maybe if it moves 1-2mm it will clear bolt heads?
Really gutted as just had wheels painted and after an hour of wheel on/off rubbing etc the paint on the bolts are marked.

your post confused me, i'm an idiot.

misread "Problem I've got is when I refit the front wheel the bolt heads from the cover on right side of wheel incase it had dual discs rub on the inside of forks? I have the spacers the correct way round ( larger spacer disc side). "

i kept thinking, "but his threads never mention a conversion"
