I have a full face helmet so I dont think I need a full windscreen, just enough to not feel like I could get pushed off if my hands are not vice clamped to the grips.
I hear you...good luck. Ride safe!

Why is it that the Dart won't fit the 48's? Headlight placement? Any way around this?

I have a full detachable shield on my Custom. I like to be comfortable all-around at highway speeds. I normally wear earplugs, but a full shield also cuts down on wind noise.

Decided on this one, think its big enough to kick most of the wind above me, but not huge and intrusive, plus its really easy to remove.

That should work...similar to what RKZen suggested....but I guess you need to find another source since it is out of stock.

Default Iron 883 Stock Bar Size?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on one of the National Cycle deflectors. Anybody have any idea of the stock handlebar size on an Iron? Options are 7/8ths 1 in or 1.25. My guestimate would be 1 in.

Yes 1" but check the harley site for year/model specs. I think most sporties have 1" handlebars.....mine was.
