Rear sets
1. What pipes are you using?
2. What have you done as far as suspension/raising the bike/seat height?
3, How tall are you?
4. Are you comfortable on it?
Thx all.

I agree that the longer shock like 14" but im just saying rear sets and longer legs dont match. plus i dont think a tracker/dirt style suspension is best for rear sets.... thats mids.
I think 13" is the longest you should look into if your running these 11 inch stock sportys. you will need to do something to the fork when bumping up in the 12 to 13 inch range.....(stiffer springs.. or longer tubes) i did 12 inch rears with a 4 inch front travel mono tube kit.
now sure what the stock roadster 2016 rear shocks are they look long..12 inch possible.

i mean long as far a Harley is concerned. a 12 inch shock with 2.5 inches of travel is kinda a joke haha. my mountain bike has 150mm of rear travel and a 8' shock with 2" stoke. with my 36" inseam i can throw a leg over anything, just cant shift with mids.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders

I've ordered some RSD rearsets and a RSD Slant exhaust for my '16 Roadster but the pipe is not an in stock item so I'm waiting on the pipe to be made at V & H.
One of the reasons I went with the RSD pipe is I know that the two will work together.
Plus I wanted something different this go around.
On my last Sportster, because of my 29" inseam I couldn't use forward controls and I ended up always putting my feet on the rear pegs when I was not doing any shifting/braking .
The mids on the Roadster are too wide and I keep clipping my feet on the ends when I put my feet down.
The RSD rearsets bring the feet in 2" closer to the bike.

Couple things to know.
1. If you are a taller person i.e. 5'10" or taller your right knee will get killed depending on the aircleaner. I had the RSD Turbine AC on there and I had a never healing bruise on my knee. I went to the RSD Slant AC and it is designed to fix this very issue
2. If you raise the rear of the bike higher than 13" you will need a belt tensioner. Some places make them but they are expensive. I just made my own by using a car tensioner. below is the link of the step by step DIY post I did. You will also need a taller jiffy stand. I got one from a XR and it is still on the short side.
