Default Rear Running Light Tricky Problem

I have an 08 883Low and a fender mounted LED Running Light/Brake Light. I recently changed the handle bars. That same day I was riding and my running light went out once. Came back on and then just went out again and has stayed out. BUT my brake lights (and all other lights) worked the whole time.

So yesterday I open up the master cylinder and throttle housing etc and a little black nipple piece is broken off of my brake switch. Ok so i Know i need to replace that. No problem. HERE IS WHERE I AM CONFUSED...

The brake light is just on now because the lever can't push the switch in. When I push the switch in the light goes out completely and no running lights which there should be.

Any idea on how to get my running lights back on????
Fuses seem to be fine...

Any advice or input is appreciated. Thanks

Check to make sure the light is plugged into the proper plug (there are two different slots that the plug could fit on the left side. It should be the bottom one. If it is plugged in right make sure you have power to the running lights. This should be the orange w/white strip wire (if the LED light has a different color code it will be pin number 2. The red w/yellow stripe wire (pin number 3) is the brake light so don't confuse it with that one since you say the switch is broken and will also be always hot as well. If there is power on the orange w/white wire then it is probably the LED light. If you can see where the wires connect to the board check and see if that is good, if it isn't then you it would be best to replace it. If there is no power one the orange w/white wire you will have to trace it back to where it has power and fix it.
