Default Question about risers

I've got an '06 1200 low and want to put some taller risers on it. I'd like to add approx. 2". I know my cables are long enough. When ordering risers do you measure to the bottom of the bars or just the round stem part that the bolt fits in ? I've got stock risers on it now (about 1 1/2" to bottom of bars).. if I add 2" is the wiring lengthend or is there enough slack ? Appreciate any help I could get. Thanks

I put 1-1/2" risers on my 2005 XL1200R and could easily have gone 2" with stock cables and wiring. Glad I put them on, they made a big difference in riding posture for me.

You should have plenty of slack in the wires. I've gone as much as 3" with these Riser Extensions, and had plenty of wire and cable for it, and that was with Mini-apes.

Thanks for the info. Any chance you'll be getting the riser extensions in chrome or polished aluminum ?

We don't have any in the works at this time. LA Choppers should have them in chrome.
