Had already purchased a single rubber sealed 25 mm bearing from H-D for the same application for measurement purposes.
Will see which bearing holds up the best, Timken or H-D, South Korean made.
Believe the metal shielded bearing is the wrong application for a wheel bearing.
Water can enter through the gap between the the shield and inner ring.
Metal shielded bearings are less expensive to manufacture than rubber sealed ball bearings.
Metal shielded bearings are usually used for indoor machinery applications.

I used SKF 6205 2RSJEM about a year ago for my bike and just noticed some grease around my front tire hub. Which means the grease broke down, am due a front tire soon so might try to regrease the bearing or just replace them again...
