no rubber in there man. the iron uses basically the same trees as my old narrow glide front end.

if it supported bushings, you'd see huge stepped round gaps instead of the small bolt holes above:

i think i should have used street bob-ish trees and gone 49mm when i did my conversion. i would not be trying to hide wires now. would have introduced new problems though... fenders and such

No Rubber bushings since rubber mounted engine (2004)

You could have your tree machined for the bushings if desired or (without me confirming all dimensions) you might be able to swap for 2003-earlier top tree

The gel pad helped 1000% -- after appox 45min that Ironhead made my lower back hurt to the point I had a hard time getting off the bike . after I installed the gel I can ride how ever long I want to -- no B/S . KEMMLER PRODUCTS , INC Mooresville, N. C. 704-663 5678
If you buy the gel buy some extra and wrap the foot pegs and see what happens , I have a feeling you will like it , I would like to see some hand grips made with gel on them
I installed the gel gust the way Kemmler told me and nobody knows it but me , simple

It does not happen often with Sportys...it happens quite a bit with Twin Cams...

It is possible your crank is out of round.

I would have that checked before spending any serious $. It is relatively easy, and you may find it is out of spec, in which case it should be replaced under warranty.

You may also find it is far enough out of round to be causing "extra" vibration, but not so far out that it is out of spec.

HD has been increasing the "acceptable" tolerances over the last decade or so...I think it is now up to 10 thousandths.

if the run out is to much should it be down on power??? seems to me the more the engine has to work to rotate the less output it has.

it is less after the dyna tune, still alot to me but not kicking the feet off, iam not a rider that bounces off the rev limiter but would like it to be some what pleasent up to say 4500-4800 rpm.

but would it normaly be less with all type´s off 1200 kit´s???

had them check the motor mounts when they put the extended forwards on, an now as you know 606 intake ill se what it does come 1/3-1/4 hopfully i can ride alittle before the us trip.

sometimes it comes after some miles, that means when it´s good and hot, could it be my 300pounds to heavy for 883???

regards
Sören

I'm not sure how much you would notice the power loss on one with too much run-out.

"Too much" vibration is different for everybody, sort of like what is "too loud" for one person is not loud enough for another.

When you are visiting us, later this year, you can ride both our Sportsters...one a 1200 with a Performance Plus Stage I, and the other an 883 with a 1250 upgrade that still has the 883 gearing. To me, neither one of them has excessive vibration. When you ride them you can compare what they feel like with yours.

Highly unlikey, but if I could afford it, you'd be high on my list.

I would try, bar end weights, foam grips, gel gloves, and a throttle lock, to start. If you are having a problem in your feet, try gel boot liners and thicker rubberfoot pegs. If you are leaning forward on the bars, try risers so you are sitting more up-right with less pressure on hands/wrists.

The above is an accumulation of solutions that have helped me over the last 50 yrs of riding a lot of bikes many of which were shakers. My smoothest bikes were my Air head BMW's, R100RS, R75/5, my K75S, R1150R, and my current 16' Road King.

If you want to make yourself feel better find someone with a BSA Victor 441 and take that for a spin.
