Default "Stuck" Directional Switch

The right side directional button on my 2005 1200 Roadster is "stuck". It moves slightly when pressed but will not activate the signal. I am wondering if the return spring on the switch got jammed. Anyone else ever run across this issue with their directional switch?

Have to ask...did it just start sticking for no reason, or any bar/grip/switch work on the Right that might've caused the problem?

take it apart and see what's up. way easier that it sounds. the little spring or nibs may have failed or gone missing. does require much time.

An excellent question. I had an Indy rebuild my front brake master cylinder and the directional switch stopped working about 2 weeks later. My reaction was that he had caused something to go awry, but why would it take 2 weeks to materialize as a problem? Regardless, I have the switch problem and must delve into it, but with the temp at 13*, it will have to wait a bit. I was just hoping someone else had run across this problem and could provide some insight to its resolution.

I had the same problem on the other side. WD-40 solved it.
