Default Forward controls

I purchased my bike with forward controls and the work great, but all of the other bikes I have ridden have been mid control or even further back.
I am curious about your take on Mid Controls because it is kind of expensive to buy them just to come to realize that I love my Forward Controls.
I am sure this has been asked a million time and it is also a matter of personal preference, but if it saves me a couple hundred bucks I won't complain.

thanks for your time and opinion

For some, this is a polarizing issue. I am firmly entrenched in the mid control camp, for the XL line, anyway. Might consider forwards on Big Twin bikes.

For me, I like the mid controls for Sportsters. My 1994 1200 had mids and hi-way pegs. It handled corners better with me feet on the mids than the hi-way pegs.

I felt like I was better in control with mids in the twisties, and I switched back and forth a few times for this reason, but I've settled on forwards because they're so much more comfortable, especially on 500+ mile days.

Default Depends on you

I have extended fwd controls on mine. The fwds seemed liked mid controls I had on a dyna. The fwds are far more comfortable to me. It's up to you and your preference.

Thanks for the responses so far, it gives me food for thought. I am going to be doing lots of cornering and hopefully some good long rides as well, which makes me think that maybe I need Mid Controls with a set of front pegs as well. Only time can tell.
Thanks and please keep your ideas and preferences coming.

I switched from mids to forwards. I found I was too cramped with mids. Mind you I'm 6ft

I still have the same control through the corners. The forwards are more comfortable for me.

I'm going to switch to forwards. I'm way more comfy with my feet on the highway pegs so I'm gonna get forwards and take the hiway pegs off.

I have 2" extended forwards on mine. Much more comfortable for me.

Knees hurt after a short time with mids. (I'm old )

Even with the extended forwards, my knees are still fairly bent.

Add me to Kevin's list. My knees are totally shot. I can't ride my wife's Honda around the block without my knees killing me. My forwards make me feel like a man! And I look so cool!

Really though, I like em.
