ALright....I know there are other forums comparing the 72 and the 48...I figured Id show two bikes I am looking at for thoughts. I already own a 15 SGS, Im just looking for a simple bike for zooming around town. So These two Sportsters are local.
2013 48 and a 2012 72. Both are 6000. 48 has about 11,000 miles the 72 has a little over 5
Whos rode both? Ive heard the 48 handles better with the wider tire but have also heard complaints.
My son had a custom with the taller wheel like the 72 and i loved the way that bike handled, one of my other sons had a nightser and the custom handeld better in my opinion. I know these are not the models you inquired about just thought I'd throw in my 2cents for what its worth
I have a 05 XL1200C my one friend has a 48 the other a 72 . I like the wider front tire of the 48 stability wise the 48 was nice , don't get me wrong I like the feel of the 72 but the 48 felt more stable. I decided on the XL1200C for the fact that the power plant was moded and suited for upright style of riding with the power of a sport bike.
Have you riden them? it would boil down to witch one fit me best, as for just running around town the 72 is going to be better at slow speed/parking lot handeling
@video this is one of the stupidest videos i've ever seen. i told the guy that made it as much. he acknowledged his BS. see the comments. . . if your needs change, you can't blame that on the bike. 72 is a great bike. that clown goes and gets a dyna, then wants to go snob of the 72
@OP
either one of those bike is fine. the ask is high but, that's the point in an asking price. you ask for way more than you want so so smuck can come along and call himself haggling you and you pretend to put up a fight and then take his money, lol.
did you already check cycle trader and craigslist? plenty of hidden deals. the sporty is the ultimate around town bike. i love mine.
