For dirty bikes, detergent and water. Use two buckets, one with soapy water and the other with fresh water to rinse your rag or sponge after you get it dirty. It will keep you from scrathcing the paint by keeping the soapy water clean. For touch ups or to knock off the bugs, I use a water free cleaner that works great. Its call Honda Pro clean and polish. It is a spray on and wipe off. It works wonders. It also provides a U.V. protection.
