Would i be okay running this fluid? Or would you guys recommend that i stick with the hd brand? (And certainly pay more)
Also fsm says it holds 32oz. Do you guys just pour the whole jug in or just enough to touch the bottum of the clutch pack?
Thanks in advance.
I'm just throwing my $.02 in on a lukewarm thread.

What's a dollar or two in the grand scheme? I get a quart of HD oil at the dealer for less than $10.

Of course I also have an Energy 1 clutch pack so synthetic is also not an option.

But why not HD dino when the cost is nearly the same (or cheaper) than other options?

If the dealer is inconvenient to get to, then get 2-3 quarts at a time and put one some on the shelf for the next change.

OK I am new to this bike (1200) but at 1K pulled the derby cover (wanted to check clutch adj) and looked at fill level and it was just like the manual showed. I measured the oil that I drained and it was 750cc. I was kind of surprised but I replaced it with 750cc and it came to same level. This is about one cup less than a quart. I my add through primary adj. cover next time but will measure and replace with same again. I prefer not to overfill things and a cup is quit a bit of oil in a one qt. system. JMO. My attitude is that if it is your stuff do what ever makes you happy.
