Default Is this a problem?

Cleaning my bike tonight I saw this tube coming out of the engine and not connected to anything on the other side. It was under my air filter but I lifted it above for the picture. Anyone know what this is? Thanks for the help.

Is it a hollow tube or are there wires in it.

Overflow for engine oil?

Man you need to seriously clean that bike. LOL From the pic can't tell if it's a elec cable or a hose that a mud dawber had fun with. Looks like a oil drain from the air cleaner.

I'll check when I get off but it seemed hollow. To the cleaning my bike part, yeah it's bad dirty. I've been taking it to work everyday and it's also been raining a lot so it is nasty. The problem is finding time!

Overflow tubing from your gas tank would be my guess.

^^^Probably^^^

Follow it to the other end & see where it's actually connected.

I have one of those from the bottom of the carb. It just hangs there, hopefully out of sight.
