there are actually quite a few different typs of knock offs. you mean the old style like wisamic?
i ha e a jw speaker 8690a and knock off 8690m. The 8690a dstroys th real daymaker and is only second to the trubeam in brightness. The knockoff is brighter that the 8690a but dimmer than the trubeam.
i paid ~60 for mine (can be had for as low as 39) and imported it myself from aliexpress ... same place most of the knock offs are coming from. It has been trooper, no problems ....rain and swampness be damned.
