Is there anything wrong with pulling stock bulbs in the turn signals and replacing them with LED replacements? I just can't bring myself to pay Harley prices for LED bulbs.
Bought a bike recently (not a Harley) and the guy put led turn signals on it and claimed they didn't always work. Granted he just twisted the wires together and never soldered them I digress. The only issue I've ever read is since they don't all pull the load incandescent bulbs do that they could confuse the auto cancel. Never ran LEDs on anything with complicated wiring so I can't give actual experience with something going wrong.
if you get the wattage close it should be fine, if it isn't there are steps you can take to correct the load in the eyes of the computer.
If the bike is more than a couple of years old it will likely require the addition of load equalizers or LED bulbs with "built-in" equalizers when you're replacing are turn signal bulbs.
Just do the Custom Dynamics turn signals, you can't go wrong and their customer service can't be beat!
When it comes to headlights, bear in mind that the focal point of the LED versus the non LED H4 bulb may be ((are probably!) different and you will get a (let's say) "suboptimal" light pattern which you may or may not be able to adjust into something legal or usable (ask me how I know...).
Bite the bullet, save your pennies and buy a direct replacement headlamp-and it doesn't have to be a MoCo Daymaker, they're overpriced and not the best out there (VisonX and Custom Dynamics TruVision rule!!). There are at least a dozen threads on this on the Forum-do your due diligence and make an informed decision.

The LED replacements found at stores like autozone, or advance auto parts are not that great in terms of luminescence. You may be better off with regular bulbs as opposed to these.
+1 for custom dynamics LEDs. They are bright and hold up to the vibrations of the motor and road. Most of the newer bikes do not require a load equalizer as the system will recognize the LED load.
I run custom dynamics LEDs front and rear and love them. I had to get the load equalizer as the fast flash bothered me. I see many that do not mind the hyperflash.
As of now I'm running standard LED bulbs with tinted lenses. I haven't had any issues yet, everything seems to be working just fine. I may take a look at the Custom Dynamics bulbs. I do like the idea of a switchback.
