Low tire pressure, cupping on the tire, dry tires (check date codes they made be old harley recommends replacing at 5 yrs old) Check the steering head. A fall away adjustment may need to be performed.
Hey guys, thanks for all this. I think it's probably a combination of factors, but first and foremost, his wheels were 5lbs light in the front and 10lbs light in the rear! Hopefully this fixes the issue but I'm also going to have him get his spokes checked
My friend and both have 72s, and we have both experienced that wobble. He and I both agreed it went away after spending a good deal of seat time on the bike. I thinks its a stack up of the thin front tire, mini apes, and laced wheels. I ride very loose (i.e. soft touch on the bars) and I've not had any problems for 3000+ miles.
But get every thing checked anyways, can never be too careful.
Hit the big 20k miles today, been across the country on mine, no wobble what's so ever.
you should check everything on yours, from tires, to their psi, to spokes, to the triple three, rear wheel alightment. Maybe even the balance on the wheels.
