Default Need some comfy handlebars for my 2017 Iron 883

What are some comfortable bars for the Iron 883?
I want them a couple inches farther back and maybe not so low
I would like them to match the Iron... black and all
What do you think?

This is function over form.
Only you can choose.

FWIW - From the OEM position, consider:
Wrist angle left & right, up and down.
Reach from seat to bars.
Elbow bend.
Shoulder width.
Height.

IMO - You may have to try a few different bars to find comfort....I'd visit a dealer or parts store and try samples.
I don't think a specific recommendation on bar brand and bend from speculative internet will answer your question. Just buying on line will be a gamble.

Good luck.

The stock bars are too far forward and kinda low. I rotated them back to bring them a little closer but that made them even lower and didn't improve the reach much
I had apes on my SG and liked them but I don't want to go that route on the Iron

When I'm trying to figure out what bars I want, I use pvc pipe and a few elbows. Take a guess, cut up some tube, and mock up a set. Easy and cheap.

If you found yourself wanting something that the MoCo doesn't offer, try Zombie Performance. If he doesn't make it, he will. And not expensive at all.

Get the bars you want, then make them fit. Don't fit the bars to your cables and controls

Many dealers have what they call a 'fit centre', or something like that, where they help owners get their riding position just so. They should be able to show you a selection of alternative bars, to help you get comfy. They should have other Sporty models you can sit on, to see if the bars on them are better. The most we can do is tell you what we did to make ourselves comfy - which may not be much help!

I bought a used Sportster XL1200T bars off of Ebay and love 'em for comfort. They're a little taller than stock and have a bit more pull back. The result is a relaxed position compared to stock bars.

edit: Oh whoops, didn't see you wanted them in black, not sure if the XL1200T bars came in that color.

HD's big book has a great handlebar section with all the dimensions listed. Find your stock bars and figure what you need from that.
