After installing the V&H shortshots, Fuel Pak, & SE stage 1 AC,on a 2007 NightsterI'm ready to toss the Fuel Pak. Yup...been on the phone with them nightly trying to get it running right and it's gotten better but I'm...or let me say my wife isn't settling forthats as good as it's gonna get.
She's calling the dealer to dyno tune it hopefully soon. What have you cats beenshelling out for them to tune it?
As I understand it, you don't dyno tune with a FuelPak as the meaning of the numbers for the various modes have not been publicly documented. No one (except V & H) knows what to change in response to specific dyno results.
That said, I've seen many on this forum report good results with FuelPaks. If you can, keep working with the V& H tech support.
P.S. I'm having the V & H straightshotsHS slip-ons, a FuelPak, and an SE AC put on my 06 Dyna tomorrow and am hoping for a good result.

I'll be installing the SE A/C, Cycle Shack slip-ons and the FuelPak this week on my '07 XL 883. I spoke with V&H tech and theytold me the settings to use for this combination.
I'm scheduled for a baseline dyno (Dynojet 250) on Friday toconfirm safe a/f ratios.
indyjeff wrote: off topic, sorry.... but, why do you need a fuel pak? I installed the same set up along with the HD download/remap/reflash, what ever you want to call it. (that was for the SE A/C stage I upgrade) The dealer didn't suggest anything else when they reprogrammed my bike. Isn't that good enough?
Opinions vary on whether that is good enough or not. The only way to really know is to dyno your bike while reading the air/fuel ratio at the exhaust to make sure it is in a safe and effective range.
This forum has a wealth of great information (and a fair amount of noise) as you'll find as you become more familiar with the SEARCH feature.. A classic place to start answering your FuelPak question can be found at this link: https://www.hdforums.com/m_181817/tm.htm
O.K. I have been messing with the same set-up for 2 weeks. I had a Hesitation and a dead miss on the rear cylinder.. and had a P0505 code.. I was sodisgusted with how it ran I decided to takethe fuelpak off...When I slid the battery out I found a black connector behind the fuse block that must have gotten unplugged while tring to fit that SH** in the battery box. I reconnected it and and set the pak back to all the recommended settings per pf-0681.. I drove it for about a hour so far and haven't had any issues so far.(KNOCK ON WOOD)Try checking that before spending $ on a dyno run.. If you've taken it on and off as much as I have trying to figure this out, you should be a PRO.. Of course I gotta give props to my Bros who kept tring to get this best breathin right..My dealer wont even install them on a nightster.. I will rideall day tommorrow and give a update..
All good replies fella's! Ya...at this point with the time spent mashing everthing under the seat & battery box, I'm not looking forward to spending more $ for a PC & dyno. So I'll either have the dealer look into it with downloads/remapsor have my wifelive with the current set up. I say that but when you shell out 10k forbrand newbike plus another $1200 in ad ons, you'd figure it would run like a top.
Have I mentioned so far theI HATE EFI!!!!!!!!! Should have built her a bike like mine.
