definitely upside down. people do that a lot. flip it. if it will not slide in, adjust the ring inside to get the key (removable) onto the left (your right when facing the from the front) then the light should sit in there correctly.
your buddy's is upside down too from what you are saying.
no shame. we all do it. i've gotten over being ashamed of messing up. that's how we learn sometimes.
True. That being said this isn't a factory daymaker headlight. It's not the brightest so I never ride at night. I wish I could afford a real daymaker but they are crazy expensive. Speaking of lights, anyone know of something aftermarket that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that's nice and bright?
Cvaria's done his homework on lights. Got this from his thread
"..
8790a/8690a
8690m/8790m"
I enjoy night riding the best. Therapeutic for me anyway.
these two need to be updated. Jw speaker just released updated 8790/8690 lights as series 2s. They now do adaptive duty when the high beam is on and i think they have updated the leds to the same standard/quality of those that are in the probeam. I'm trying to find one to test but, they haven't hit the sales channels.

also still have the probeam is anyone wants it. 350-380 takes it.
Good information from you sir! One of the things that I find annoying about most of these lights is they do not project as far as I would like them to and are not a very "spotted" or direct light. I find myself not being able to see at a comfortable distance in most cases. Which one would you recommend I get to meet my needs? I do mostly highway with the occasional twisted on my daily ride.

probem or trubeam anything above stock is fine to be honest.
Spent some time last night and removed the rear reflectors and did a full paint correction on turntable and rear fender. The bike is looking better by the day!
I have been looking for a good solo seat since my wife has her own bike. What are some of your personal experiences with them. Which ones do you like? Which ones do you not like and I should stay away from? I'm relatively tall 5'11 so I should really have a problem with most of them from what I understand.
looks great. one of the mods I was happiest with was the speedo/ riser on my bike. I did almost the exact same as you (except i'm a chrome *****). It's so nice having the speedo in my field of vision instead of over the top of the tank. good work bro

Thanks man! Yeah this entire endeavour started with wanting to get rid of a crappy headlight bucket. I couldn't be happier with the results though!
